RE: Work-Out

Hello, all,

My understanding of "Work Out" is that it is very similar to a Kaizen or
Kaikaku event. It might be a very good thing for rapid improvement of a
system component, if done from a systems perspective. Local optimization
without that perspective is, of course, NOT a good thing.

This is purely conjecture on my part, but having grown up in a GE household,
I suspect that someone saw Kaizen as a positive but did not want to attempt
to hurdle the NIH aspects of GE's culture, so they called it "work-out."
