RE: Cost vs Quality Graph

Hi,

One idea I have tried for tracking Supplier-Cost-Of-Poor-Quality (SCOPQ) is
to calculate a Quality Cost Performance Index. Once you have established
COPQ Cost Standards for prevention, appraisal, and failure costs you can
then calculate the QCPI=Supplier Quality Costs+Purchased Price/Purchased
Price. You could then plot that index number on a run chart (monthly or
quarterly) for each critical supplier looking for trends etc.
