Morning Robert
An exciting product (CAST) from a fellow Antipoedan at http://cast.massey.ac.nz/
I've copied some info on its features:
CAST was written by Doug Stirling, a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Information Sciences and Technology at
Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
CAST stands for Computer-Assisted Statistics Teaching. It is a complete course in introductory statistics.
CAST is highly interactive. Interaction with diagrams on most pages retains student attention and enhances learning.
Dynamic graphics explain difficult concepts. Animations, simulations and other dynamic displays are extensively used.
The approach is data-focused. Students are exposed to many data sets.
Some advanced topics are included. With a computer-based approach, students can be taught topics that were once considered 'advanced'.
CAST is currently available for use in teaching without charge. However it is not freeware or shareware and a charge may be made to register for use of CAST at some later date. Full copyright is retained by the author.
We have commissed an additional module for Quality Improvement, and have direct login without passwords. Our staff can access this via our resources page on the Organisational Performance Website.
