A process may be linear. But I think a process can be a loop also. But more
importantly, linked processes (a system) is a loop. I believe that the PDSA
cycle is a system cycle and not a process cycle. 

Process - activities that transform inputs into outputs. Planning, Doing,
Studying, and acting are all processes.

System - set of interrelated processes.
