Lurker Too

As a long time regular lurker I have come to understand Dr. Deming's =
philosophy of management much better due to the Den List and I thank all =
of you for that.=20

I came to an initial understanding, as a result of his 4 day seminar =
back in May 92 and Study Group meetings up until his death, the greatest =
hope for me, Beyond Deming, working in the public sector was his current =
work and that of others in the area of Community Quality Initiatives. =
Places like Erie, PA, Madison, Wisc, Jackson, Mi, now Tacoma, Wash. The =
thought that communities could work together as a system to accomplish a =
greater good for their citizens and anyone who visits, its a concept =
that made tremendous sense to someone who wanted to save the world in =
the 60's and 70's. Easier conceptualized than done as I found out. But =
my knowledge that it is happening elsewhere gives me great hope that =
those small camp fires will someday burn brighter across the county and =
I will be willing to start my ashes up again and reconstruct that fire.=20
