Passion

I just sat in a free webinar by Tom Peters today, and as I am thinking ahead
towards the April IN2INTHINKING conference, I am realizing the importance of
passion to what we do.  But we must also have a means behind the passion.  I
do think sometimes Tom drifts into "tampering" space as one does have to ask
what is the means behind what he is writing and speaking about.  So, I think
if we could marry up some of Tom's thoughts on passion into Dr Shewhart's
and Dr Deming's means, we have a "winner".  And yes, I do believe Dr. Deming
was passionate about his work.

By the way, Tom Peters was asked about senior management and their role, and
his reply was "LEADERSHIP"!  Sounded like a very Deming answer.

Hmmm I am also wondering if the subject line will cause this email to be
scrubbed by "spam" filters . . .
