I agree. I would also recommend Capra's text. "The Web of Life" (Anchor 
Books, 1996). We use it as one of the texts in one of our courses on the Deming 
SoPK (System of Profound Knowledge), in the first of the two courses (Mgt. 340) 
focussed on Appreciation of a System.
