Language and Thinking

I thought it had long been accepted that the structure
of one's language determines the way one thinks.

But I have always assumed that mathematics is a
language. I'm not a mathetician, so maybe I have this
wrong.

With language, of course, one has the emotive
element to contend with in the "thinking" process,
but all higher order thinking is done with language
(mathematics excepted?), although many are
unaware of this.
