A question for all.
After reading more on Deming, and looking at the ASQ web site, the
question of "are we missing the point" came to mind.
Instead of an "American Society for Quality"
wouldn't a "Society for System Improvement" be more useful?
I'm struggling with how to define quality without reference to
whether you're making the system better or not.
Surely the only meaning that we should give to quality is
"Achieving the aim of the system"
Here of course the aim of the system must be understood in the sense
WED gives in "The New Economics".
