Dr. Deming did not make that broadcast. It was made by CCM-Productions, headed by Claire Crawford-Mason. When they set out to find out why the Japanese were beating our industry so soundly, the heard about Dr. Deming from the people they interviewed in Japan. They searched for him and found that he lived in Washington, DC, where CCM was based! They arranged to inverview him and what appeared on that famous broadcast by NBC was only a brief interview with Dr. Deming.
I do not recall ever hearing Dr. Deming discuss Theory Z. I suppose he knew about it but I never heard him discuss it during the ten years or so I kept up with him.
