Greetings all,

As well described in Wheeler and Chambers, d2 is "a bias correction
factor for converting ranges into Sigma(X)" - Understanding
Statistical Process Control, p.46, 393.

As footnoted on p. 393, values for d2, d3, and d4 were from H.L.
Harter, "Tables of Range and Studentized Range", Annals of
Mathematical Statistics, 1960.

All in all, a wonderful read.
