RE: control charts in health care
Hello All:
I have been thinking about this analysis of driver response time. To me,
analyzing the time it takes to provide immediate car (driver response time)
is important but only one step of the emergency care system. If the driver
gets to the person in 8 minutes, does that mater if it takes an hour to get
back to the hospital? What if they get back to the hospital ASAP but have
to wait hours for further care? Is analyzing only the response time an
effort in sub-optimizing one aspect of the emergency care system?
This may not help the currently assigned task of how to chart response times
but I wanted to share my thoughts to see what others thought.
Thank you, Dirk van Putten
