Dear List
<< Thanks to all for the advice. Just to be clear, I am not running the
experiment anywhere. If I were, I'd do it with people. I'm just trying to
simulate the results of one, for a paper I'm writing. >>
I would like to echo Richard's request. Last year I asked about the same thing - computer simulation to help me with my studies. If I want to illustrate it to others or help others understand systems better, I would also prefer the red beads. I think I understand the 'beauty' of the experiment already.
Of course I cannot help wondering if Deming would'nt have preferred computer simulation if he had the technology at the time.... :)
Thanks,

[Moderator's Note: as others have pointed out - the powerful lessons in the red bead
experiment are way more than "simple" math - so a simulation might help generate some
numbers for an article - but would not approach the live lessons. ]
