Deming 2005 - Question 2 of 2

DENizens,

In discussing potential topics and areas of interest for pending Deming events, a couple
of interesting questions came up. Not easily answered, I thought I would pass them along
to the DEN for discussion and conjecture.

Question 2 of 2:

Chapter 4 of _The New Economics_ "introduces" The System of Profound Knowledge.
The footnote at the beginning of the chapter states, in part:

"The text of this chapter is in large part the work of Dr. Barbara Lawton. ...
I am deeply indebted also to Dr. Nida Backaitis for much help"

Let's imagine for the sake of discussion that Deming had published _The New Economics_
and died prior to the materials being developed by Drs. Lawton and Backaitis. Do
you think the Deming Community would have then accepted The System of Profound Knowledge
and made it a cornerstone of the Deming Philosophy?
