2nd Law of Thermodynamics
Dear Denizens
Can anyone help me understand the 2nd law of thermodynamics in laymen's terms?
Whoever coined the phrases positive and negative entropy wants shooting. These polemic categories are not only counterintuitive but also lead one to look for an equilibrium between + and -.
As I understand it entropy is a measure of (dis)organisation and it always increases. From this do we assume that control charts can help increase "organisation" by inducing negative entropy?
Layman's terms please!!!
