RE: Deming 2005 - Question 2 of 2
Dr. Deming had already developed the idea of the "System of Profound
Knowledge" in order to go beyond the 14 Points. Initially the "System" had
many more parts. Nida and Barbara helped Dr. Deming organize the components
of his System of Profound Knowledge into four "manageable" categories. I
believe strongly that the theories, concepts, methods of Dr. Deming would
still have survived. If the term "System of Profound Knowledge" did not
exist, the body of work would have been called something else, e.g., "The
Deming Management Philosophy." Some people still refer to it this way.
