Hello John:

I enjoyed this posting. It reminded me of something my physicists father
used to say. He often would tell people, "Hey, did you hear that they are
not going to make one foot rulers any longer?" It is a stretch, but his
comment did have an element of lack of operational definition. He did not
define what he meant by "any longer."
