How many on the DEN have actually read some of Taylor's early work? Taylor, Taylorism or whatever you want to call it suffers from the same kind of misinterpretation/misapplication as Dr. Deming's work. Some of Taylor's early work is actually quite favorable in terms of his views of people. Application and interpretation over the years make him seem like an unfeeling, uncaring man that somehow fatally divided our leaders from our workers. Nonsense. Our common sense divided us. No wonder Dr. Deming, Dr. Shewhart and Dr. Lewis warn us to beware.

and DENizen Dan Robertson - for it's treatment of Taylorism and Neo-Taylorism }
