UK Deming Forum on BBC tonite!
The Deming Forum is delighted to announce that the BBC Radio 4 programme, In Business has recorded a programme on Dr Deming and his management method.
It will be broadcast in the UK on Thurs. 30 June 2005 at 20.30 and repeated on Sun. 3 July 2005 at 21.30. Transmission on the World Service is planned for later this year.
You can also listen to the programme on line after it has been broadcast. From 4 July, go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/inbusiness/index.shtml and select the Deming broadcast from the main page or from the ‘current series’ box on the right hand side of the page.
Thanks to Norman Speirs’ chance introduction to the presenter, Peter Day and his sympathy with Peter’s broadcast entitled ‘The Heartbeat Economy’, Norman was quick to note the potential and suggest the programme on Deming.
When Norman approached the Deming Forum for help and involvement, we immediately invited Peter and his producer to our Transformation Forum 2005. They were delighted with the opportunity to interview a selection of the great line up of speakers and said it was wonderful to have such an impressive source of knowledge and experience all in one location. The Robinson Centre in Wyboston, Bedfordshire proved to be an ideal location for the interviews and recording.
Close cooperation has provided a wealth of material for the broadcast including:
Norman Speirs
Nick Baxter, CEO of Cornerstone Community Care, UK
Gordon Hall, The Deming Learning Network in Scotland
Jane Seddon, PMI, UK
Debbie Ray, Samaritan Hospital, Ohio, USA
Myron Tribus, USA
Hazel Cannon, The Deming Forum, UK
David Wormald, Raflatac, UK
If you would like to listen to the January broadcast on ‘The Heartbeat Economy’, go to

Please feel free to forward this communication to your colleagues.
