I'm sure Deming would shudder in his grave ... note point 10 of his 14
points:

"10. Eliminate slogans, exhortations, and targets for the work force asking
for zero defects and new levels of productivity. "

Asking for zero defects is no different to asking for 3.4 defects per
million.

World class quality means on target with minimum variation.
