Keith writes;
> I always thought he sees the organization as a system.

Can I also add to Keith's request for help.
In an organisation trying to work in the Deming way:
Are supervisors necessary ?
If so what would be their role ?
Are supervisors
a) People who give instructions ?
b) People who check the work of others ?
c) People who have more experience than others ?
d) People who train others ?
e) People who assess others ?
f) People who are paid more than others ?
Supervisors are commonly paid more to give instructions to others. Those who
are on a lower pay may not feel it their job to give instructions ?
Is this right? If not then what is the alternative ?
Please don't tell me to read a book. I would like to hear people's own
words.
Regards to all
