RE: Hillside yellers

Maybe the reason why we are not apparently successful is simpler than that.
We are honest.

It is well known that people get the politicians they deserve because nobody
will vote for a politician who tells the truth. In the words of the famous
pop song "Lie to me. I promise I'll believe."

Same thing goes for peddlers of management ideas. To be successful you need
to be able to tell people what they want to hear, and then have the chutzpah
to reinvent the past, and the brazenness never to admit a mistake. The
recipe for success is pretty simple.

4 cups lies
2 cups hope (customer supplied)
1 cup half baked ideas
1 smooth tongue (pickled is optional)
1 very large fee

Mix together with a lot of spin. Cook the results.

Sell to anyone who is not so stupid as to stay in a job for more than a year
and a half. Get them to move on and spread the word. Someone else will pick
up the pieces.
