RE: Deming and Tests

Hi everybody
The power of talking in parables is that the listener will take away the
lesson suggested to them by their own experience.

If we give literal instructions we create an almost certain probability that
the advice we give will be disregarded because it does not fit the exact
experience model of the listener.

No matter how large the audience the experience of the master will always
differ from the experience of the student and therefore literal advice will
always be wrong.

What Deming understood is that by telling stories each student will be able
to take away lessons relevant to their own experience.

In this way his lessons are available and can be understood by everybody in
a way that allows each listener to take away their own value.

Yes Deming does talking in parables, this form of storytelling has been
known as the most powerful way to reach the largest audience for centuries.

          Yours
