I am sorry I was not clear about the point I was trying to make.

I was not aware that the MOT regulated the servicing of a vehicle or that a
house survey measured the quality of the paint.

If you had to employ someone to do a job, any job, would you rather that you
employed someone who cared about what they were doing, or someone who did
not?

If it was possible for a manager to change the way that people felt about
what they were doing, to allow them to care about what they were doing,
would that be something worth doing?
