The "statistical thinking" blog by John Dowd is brilliant. I think he really hits the mark with his comments on Taylor, although I believe he could have gone even further. In his final interview, Deming summarized his philosophy as "systems thinking and win-win". This is exactly the same as Taylor says quite early on his book. I think Deming may perhaps have been the most important Taylorist in recent time.
