I am unsure this homework argument is really valid. I think homework and the
amount when required correctly is a valuable tool in self-discipline,
self-discovery, and self-learning. As an example, my kids had a teacher where half
their grade was based upon their own homework quality. I was amazed at their
abilities to locate content and organize it into meaningful reports. Funny
thing too when it came to tests, their scores were "A's". Homework as a too is
not a negative. In life, we learn we have to dig for information all the
time. The fact it can be frustrating speaks to patience and self-disciple...
learn not to quickly give up just because it is not fun but hard and yes maybe
boring. Exercises for the sake of business is not the answer I agree. But
really, how many people learn everything new on the first try....
