Myron,
You say, "There is no way to challenge basic attitudes by simple comments
unless the other fellow is suffering enough."
On a bad day, I'd be the first to agree with you. On a good day, though, I
might be the first to suggest that it's our inability to get the message
across that limits the propagation of fundamentally new thinking.
It seems to me that it would be great if this forum could collectively
address the challenge you so precisely define, Myron, namely how to
challenge "basic attitudes".
Do we really have to wait until the "other fellow is suffering enough", or
are there other ways to move things forward?
For instance, my own experience has been that fantastic things can be
achieved with the blessing of an enlightened CEO.
However, given the current dearth of 'enlightened CEOs', how can we grow
their numbers?
What are your thoughts, Myron?
Regards as ever,
Alan

You should ask: "What are you trying to get done?"
"Is creativity important?"
There is no way to challenge basic attitudes by simple comments
unless the other fellow is suffering enough.
