Excellent idea Jim. I am one of the people unhappy about aspects of the =
recent discussion, which I read as seeing the application of "Scientific =
Management" as almost a universal answer. I am certain that my position =
is affected by my own perception of Scientific Management, and want to =
see a wider working definition than often used. So, I shall be =
delighted to get involved in discussions working towards an operational =
definition in the context of Deming's philosophy.

[Moderator's Note: I would hope that we have a reasonable definition for Deming's
Philosophy and Schewhart's theories - but cannot compare them to
scientific management if we cannot agree on what it is. The chalk board
awaits... ]
