<< Do not fret over this current fad. As you can see from the literature that
came last week, GE is now selling "Black Belt Six Sigma" for a fee.

It reminds me of the ISO craze, where "Western birds of Prey" capitalized
on the "marketing" potential of the ISO 9000 standards not for the true
benefits it could achieve in standardizing the quality system within an
organization but for the "profit" it could generate for the industry itself
and organizations as a whole. Now there are organizations out there saying
"what's the value"?

GE is out to make money at any cost social, individual, environmental, you
name it. They value nothing except profit. The ends justify the means and
the sad thing is their board of directors believe this too. I do not for one
moment believe their interest is truly improvement. If you have any doubts,
read the latest issue of the "Business Ethics" magazine. There in exists a
truly scary story about the reality of GE. "It Brings the need for ETHICS to
life" and social responsibility or sustainability.
