This "analysis" I think, is VERY unfortunate because it demonstrates, 
in my view, a general lack of effort in understanding they WHY'S and 
the issues facing real managers every day.

It's also an exceeding poor way to characterize those that we might 
wish to communicate WITH (NOT AT). I would suggest that the 
kind of characterization regarding b) above is one reason why 
it is likely that the doors will continue to be slammed in the 
faces of those with those attitudes.

Perhaps a mirror is important regarding the "sense of importance" if 
we are to be perceived as at all relevant to managers.
