RE: 6 Sigma
I have issues of ownership and pride that bleed into my
communications. This is part of the psychology that goes with joy and
pride in work.
Those who have tenure and those who have a monopoly on anything have
the greatest responsibility to society to be open, informal, cooperative
and listen to understand. The laws of probability being shared by word
or graph presents an environment that is a challenge to deal with. Our
future is begging us to deal with guiding principles vs profit vs
survival. We want our children to be safe throughout the world and
universe etc.
My theory is that our children will be safe when guiding principles
are accepted and followed by 99.4% of our world. Survival has priority
over profit. Research has to be for survival and not for profit.
I think that focusing on quality is a start.
If 6 Sigma is applied where guiding principles are more important than
the aim and all is applied towards quality, a lot of life's filters will
be eliminated then 6 Sigma becomes unimportant.
I understand this. And am told to get back to reality. I know this
could become reality starting with those who have tenure and those who
have a monopoly on anything, accepting the greatest responsibility to
society, that of being open, informal, cooperative and listening to
understand.
I hear it said that it starts with the individual. It lasts and takes
on greater effectiveness with teamwork. Part of our denial is that we
say we can compete and still hold hands in cooperation. We are
rationalizing our way out of what needs to be done to insure development
of common guiding principles. Hence leaving another mess for our
children to clean up. All because we choose not to manage for the
future of our children through a guiding principles environment.
Proof in our baby step being charted without a theory, guiding
principles and operational definitions. It starts with a theory. My
theory is that if we agree on guiding principles to start with
(agreement and cooperation will be in the guiding principles) then
operational definitions will be committed to and our future theories and
charts will enhance greatly our quality effectiveness. For those who
need to know, "Profits will increase," to begin with, then if the
paradigm shifts, "Profits will increase." If others follow the same
path Managers will redefine what they are responsible for. Therefore,
those who have tenure and those who have a monopoly on anything have the
greatest responsibility to society to be open, informal, cooperative and
listen to understand.
