systemic causes. However I have to ask, what caused the 40% and 1%."

I agree and I will get to that, as I move on improving my course. In fact,
next year I'm planning to use a totally different approach to the way I
teach, the idea is to see how this impacts the learning.

In both cases I provided, that is, lab operators and students , I guess I
should have said: "so far I have found systemic evidence for 99% and 60%
of the results, respectively. I'm still searching for more".

Why I'm doing this? because I'm interested in finding evidence to an idea
that is interesting and important, but is not easy to sell to individuals
when the only evidence I have is: Dr. Deming said so.

What I noticed before I started doing all this searching, was that when I
did the Read Bead Experiment, my students would say something like: Well,
in the experiment, performance is totally defined my the system, but that
is not real life. I don't think Dr. Deming is right on the idea that the
vast majority of the results is system define, at least not in education
and not in sales".

After the evidence, with their own data, they start getting the point, that
is, of focusing in understanding the system, a not in judging and putting
people into slots.

Thanks for reading.
