Thanks John to provide us some useful information. I don't have any
particular opinions for most fads, no matter they are endorsed by which
big brothers with billions,billions  *saving* in short term.
If we see all the fads from 50 years' perspectives, we might learn a
lot.(Although most of us after 50 years might communicate in another
world.)

Good luck and goodbye to 6 sigma programs: the games enjoyed by some
people.The style of it might be not fit to my chemical well although
some of my friends are are very good at the approach John introduced to
us.

I like to contribute another might be related game in Japan for
Denizens' information.

Taguchi Method Group( for last several decades, Taguchi runs his Quality
Engineering section continuously, monthly.)learned the power of ISO,
hence the idea is to influence the international standarlization of
Taguchi Method. The ran an excellent special issue in recent
Standarlization and Quality magazine which is one of two most
influencial magazines in Japan(another is JUSE's TQM).

The content of it like the annual Ohio Deming Conference. All the
speakers and panel discussion were disclosed and open to general public.
In Japan, you want to sell Learning Organization or Knowledge Management
cargoes, you need to be very careful.

Yes, Japan is Japan and USA is USA.But I hope most Deming's friends
think about Deming's comment that for knowledge, you don't need to apply
visa for it(roughly in my own phrases).
