A very prominent Japanese president said some thing to the effect that
profit is the measure of how well companies do that. Those that do not make
a profit do not make a profit because they fail to serve the needs of the
people. he said it so eloquently I wish I could quote him. But it was a
strong statement for being proud of profit. Companies that make a profit
are serving people those that do not are not serving the real needs.
