Re: Statistical Analysis of an Organizational Survey?

The data Rich DeRoeck referred to are "categorical". May I suggest
that DUAL SCALING techniques be investigated. Dual Scaling qualnifies
categorical data of six types, Contingency/Frequency Tables,
Multiple Choice Data, Sorting Data, Paired Comparison Data, Rank
Order Data, and Successive Categories Data.

I bought a Windows 95/98/NT version of the program. It is not
available for Macintosh so I have it installed on a friend's machine.
I use it to qualtify rank order (dominance) data from various sources.
It works well on test scores which have been reported in frequency
classes (incidence data). There are means to work around small
amounts of missing data.

The contact address is MicroStats, 9 St. George's Road, Islington,
Ontario, Canada, M9A 3S8 (Fax: 1-416-239-9934). A users guide is
included with the package which also includes technical and historical
background. The company will send information.
