Even then, it is so because we (our economics based subsystem/Adam Smith 
based culture) have chosen to make it so. The "system" of which we are but a 
part (and even many historical examples of non-economic based, human 
cultures) doesn't have any such condition.

We could just as easily choose to not have it (please note: I am not 
talking/writing about the equally economically driven concepts of socialism 
or Communism, they're as subsystem driven as capitalism, just more tampering).
