What a neat idea. I am sure I will have my next group in stitches. (OK, OK
I'm finished with that.)
I thought perhaps one way to extend the learning opportunities would be to
ask the groups to classify the equipment in the kits according to customer
DNA requirements (which is one of the building blocks of any customer
supplier relationship).
D = Desired: Reflect what the customer would like to have. Desired
requirements may be negotiable and the supplier and customer can discuss
options.
N = Needed: Reflect what the customer needs to meet objectives. The
supplier may have suggestions or there may be options based upon experience
and knowledge.
A = Absolute: Reflect what must be as specified. No options can be
considered. There is no room for discussion.
Note this is not a hierarchy of needs nor are things always black and white.
There will often be overlap or grey areas.
Best regards,
Steve Edwards
