Re: What is quality?




When discussing professional services, it seems to me useful to think of
quality on two levels:
1. Professional level
2. Customer level

By professional level I mean the judgements which can only be rendered by a
qualified professional.
	Are the lab data of high quality?
	Was the diagnosis done in a quality way?
	Were the procedures used consistent with up-to-date knowledge?

By customer level I mean the judgements the customer can make
	Was the professional responding to the customer's needs?
	Did the service 'fit'?
