In a PBS documentary done in 1990, called, I believe, "The Deming Way"
He states that all knowledge must come from outside the organization,
the interviewers asks if he means profound knowledge and he says yes. 
He then states that "experience teaches nothing."

I have a copy of this video which I show to my classes every semester.
Unfortunately it is a copy and I don't have the opening titles.
