Connecting to Deming's Ideas Online

As Jim mentioned I will be leading a discussion on Connecting to Deming's
Ideas Online at the WEDI institute conference this coming weekend.

I would like any thoughts people have to share on item 2, below.

I would also like to know (from those of you who plan to attend or are
thinking of attending) what your expectations are. I would like to focus the
time on what those attending want to learn about.

I will likely touch on all these ideas but feedback could help me greatly in
determining where to place my focus. I would love other ideas so I can weave
them into the time we have for the session.

1) People can pretty easily find info online using for example

          http://www.curiouscat.com/guides/deming.htm

so, to me, spending much time on what is available is not worthwhile.
However, maybe people want to have an overview of what is available
from several sites (DEN, WEDI, Mt. Edgecumbe High School, The
   Deming Cooperative...)?

2) We can discuss how we have connected to Deming's ideas online
and how we have brought those ideas to life in our organizations.

3) We can discuss how the internet fits with many of his ideas and how
that can be seen on sites like amazon.com and Marshall Industries

4) We can discuss how to actually connect (email, email lists, papers...)
and how those methods can be woven into a process of implementing
    Deming's ideas in an organization

5) We can talk about how using a SOPK approach can guide your efforts
online (both in terms of presenting material - making web sites, sending
email... and in using the internet as a resource).

6) I will also, most likely, share some of my ideas on why the internet helps
move organizations toward a SOPK way of thinking. Alone the presence
of the internet does not do a great deal to transform organizations but
it
does, I think, have some innate characteristics that help.

My bias is to focus on 2 and with a quick look at the other items (giving 5
the next greatest attention - both 2 and 5 I think have the best interactive
possibilities).
