John,

First, encourage people to use the links to investigate their doubts. Most
helpful would be links to authoritative literature in areas that provide data
that support or contradict the SoPK. Perhaps they could be organized by area
of SoPK (psychology, variation, systems, theory of knowledge). Many of Dr.
Deming's statements seem outrageous at first (e.g., abolish ranking and the
merit system). So often they seem to stand alone, as the unsupported opinion
of Dr. Deming. We need to be able to quickly read up on areas outside our
expertise that directly support or contradict positions taken by Dr. Deming.
In other words, what does the "scientific" data say. For instance, John
Purchase gave me links to education research where I can read studies on the
effects of grading in schools. I have received equally useful links from
others.

Secondly, encourage people to contact researchers directly. If I read a
study, or hear of a statement, I email the author(s) directly. They all
respond and are most happy to mail you copies of recent research papers-for
free! Email provides a direct line into those whose lives are immersed in
any given subject matter and are current on recent developments in the field.

Hope this helps.
