WED and Owen

I am doing some research projects on WED's Legacy in History. One
project is on Robert Owen and WED( this is one part of this year's WED
Memorial Speech in Taipei, Dec. 20, 1999, other parts like OOTC and
Allexis de Tocqueville's works and so on). I like to ask some inputs
from DENizens if any.

WED din't like guilty by association of TQM among others.
The question is how about associating SoPK with Owen's works and say,
New Harmony community of Equality and so on.(One of basic principles of
it is: all kinds of artificial rewards and punishments are not
appropriate for man with this kind of characters( translated from
English to Russia to Chinese and 'reverse engineered' back to English by
me.)

If you like to think in this direction( well, Owen's wealth is 'early'
Bill Gates of 19th century accoring to James O'Toole in his Leading
Change with sound chapters on him),I recommend the chapter on Owen in J.
Bronoswki & Bruce Mazlish's The Wester Intellectual Tradition( Happer
Collin, 1960).
