systems of profound knowledge for "information quality"

In my most recent applications of quality discipline, I have been reviewing the
application of "management systems for quality" to "information quality."

There is a great deal of guidance directed at developing and meeting "software
quality" and recently there are considerations for quality in the realm of
information communication as in "web applications" and meeting the needs and
expectations of the web users. I have read a little bit of information
developed by the information quality gurus at MIT.

What would be most interesting is how a system of profound knowledge is applied
to the realm of information quality. In many ways, much of our businesses are
"information-oriented" and much product can be thought of in terms of
information.

Does anyone have a model of the application of quality to the overall area of
"information," both information content and information delivery?
