At first I was going to defend your argument with direct audio materials. Now
I have decided to simply say "Your thread about variation being the
"Cornerstone", is Ground Zero." Inherently it is found in all the other 3
areas prior to the formation of what Deming called "System" of PKn. I cannot
accept that information, transformed into applied knowledge implies this
being a system. Now, let us make reality very real here. I am about to invest
millions so can anyone tell me how to establish a funding allocation matrix
if a process is a system. The variation in these operational terms is simply
to extreme to mean the same to people outside the managment world. Certainly
I could spend a million on the improvement process called PDSA, or do I call
it improvement system? The varation in knowledge of these terms will cause
thousands in waste. And I must shrink this upstream to avoid a Red Bead
situation.
