Short run SPC has little to do with few data points it is about collecting
data form each short run so the processes and systems used to make short run
products can be studied and improved.

If I make 50 short runs per day there may well be 50 or even 500 data points
generated. The use of control chars help focus on the process not on the
product. Many of the comments about short run SPC do not appear to have made
the transition from product inspection to data collection on the process.
